I think that for the most part, Black women are not recognized enough during Black History Month. Everyone knows who MLK is but many do not know about Ella Baker who is really the main driving force behind promoting youth involvement in the Civil Rights Movement. If it wasn't for Ella Baker, SNCC would not have been as powerful and MLK would not have had the resources he needed to spread the messages of the movement. My favorite quote my Ella Baker is, "Strong people don't need strong leaders." - Great topic BBC! Can't wait to see what others come up with.

I think that it needs to be discussed and that the blogs have helped in the promoting the issue. However, it could bring backlash because Zimmerman's defense team could say that the public is putting him on trial. Thus, he may not get a "fair" trial in his city if it ever does go to trial. I'm not saying that I agree with this. but I think they are going to try to use it to make Zimmerman out to be a victim.
