The thing that hate groups such as this don't understand is that there is nothing LEGAL that they can do that is intimidating to American citizens. The emphasis is on LEGAL. Demonstrating isn't intimidating, that right is protected under the constitution. Burning Churches, the destruction of commercial and private property are ILLEGAL, as is the infliction of bodily harm, and the loss of life. The problem has always been that such groups perform ILLEGAL acts and are protected by the very people who are supposed to uphold the law for all citizens. And for MUCH of American history, a Black person's life has not been considered equal in value in the eyes of law enforcement and the justice system. It is the INSTITUTIONALIZATION of intimidation that has sustained and given leverage to the ILLEGAL acts of violence and intimidation by hate groups. less

WordPress Blogger takes ‘The Neighborhood’ and Blogging World to New Heights
Words to my teacher peers, had an interesting discussion with my students about weight, diet and exercise. Please encourage your students to ask questions and even if it is personal remember they are relying on you for honest answers. Had a young lady ask me why my belly was so big. This was NOT in a disrespectful manner but a honest question. She even said she was not being disrespectful, so remember to keep it real and not personal. The discussion centered on physical metabolism and exercise. I do not get a lot of exercise and this grew into a great discussion on aging and exercise. Be patient and not personal.
