One of the most interesting aspects of my “not” surrendering earlier to the call upon my life, was the misconception that I could no longer enjoy my life!
Sure, I heard the scripture that stated, “…I came that you might have life and have it more abundantly” St. John 10:10, but for those who were quoting it, appeared to me that the thief had come and killed their spirit, stole their humor, and destroyed their joy!
What I witnessed was many of the people I saw spreading the Good News, these great leaders, appeared as though they were bringing news of doom and despair. I do realize that there is a seriousness and a stature in God, where sin must be addressed, as well as correction and discipline. I am aware that when there is a rod of correction which must be delivered, the assignment must be delivered as thus commanded by the Lord.
Recently, I traveled with a group of mature women of God, and the travel was so humorous that the time spent did not appear as lengthy as the navigation system displayed. I noticed some key factors to being a lady leader and being allowed to still enjoy a great hearty laugh!
Your laughter must be a part of your DNA- True laughter comes from the soul, and it feels good!
“A merry heart does good like a medicine…”
Prov 17:22
Your laughter must not be “attached” to carnality- Keep it clean and you maintain the respect of all!
“Let no evil communication, proceed from your mouth…”
Ephesians 4:29
As a Lady Leader, too often we have allowed ourselves to be placed in a position where we are not conditioned to enjoy this marvelous life. We should have the abundance of joy, running out of our sandals! Our joy should be so contagious, scientists are searching for an antibiotic because we cause overwhelming attacks of laughter!
Your Lady Leadership should be recognized and respected for the anointing upon your life. Your personality is a God given gift of your individuality-never allow someone to mandate a personality change in your life to accommodate their definition of who you are.
“YOU ARE WHO THE LORD SAYS YOU ARE”
I extend this to every Lady Leader who has a hearty laugh! I deposit this into the life of every Lady Leader who has a great chuckle!
I salute ever Lady Leader who has the liberty to walk in the power of which she was created! Your laughter, your smile, your chuckle, your wittiness may be the “light” and “joy” of salvation that someone is seeking, don’t take it for granted, use it!
