Plain Faith Ministry
Read Romans 12: 9-21. There are over 100 verses of scripture in the Bible that teach or discuss this topic of love. There are also many definitions- one for example: deep affection of fondness. God teaches us and expects us to display an "agape" type of love. Agape: unconditional- “No matter what”- the situation does not dictate the feelings; is not limited to being held hostage by its environment and someone's perception. Love is an action; it is more than a feeling, but a choice that results in right actions. Love for someone else should not involve ulterior motives as these verses of scriptures teach us. Now.....it is difficult to love those who have wronged us, or have caused injustices, but with the help of the Holy Spirit, it can be done. We also need to remember this- "But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” (Romans 5:8, NIV) It was this love that created this world and it was love why Jesus endured the cross. Because God loves me--all my faults, sins and imperfection-I LOVE YOU!! Be blessed......
