For the book of Titus- Paul wrote this letter to another young helper-Titus, while he was in Corinth, to show him how to be a good leader and teacher. This book, like the books of Timothy, instruct leaders in the church how they should live and proclaim the Word. The book following-Philemon- is a letter for a "master" to lovingly accept back his run-away slave. The life-changing truth that Christ proclaimed is the foundation of this book. No matter what our status, or others, the walls of separation must be destroyed so we can easily embrace our brothers and sisters in Christ. As we move into the scriptures next month for these two books, let us examine ourselves in the areas of unity and our standards.
